The Fowler's Portable Durometers are perfectly suited for testing the hardness of flexible materials such as rubber and plastics. These gages conform to shore scales and are manufactured in accordance with DIN, ASTM, ISO, and JIS specifications. Each durometer includes a reference test block, operating instructions, and a fitted case.
Applications include:
â– 35-degree blunt taper Durometers: Ideal for testing soft and natural rubber products, neoprene, polyesters, soft PVC, leather, thiokol, nitrile rubbers, wax, felt, and more.
â– Sharp 30-degree point Durometers: Best suited for testing hard rubber and hard synthetic materials, including acrylics, glass, polystyrol, thermoplastics, printing rolls, vinyl sheets, cellulose acetates, and densified wood.
