Overview
The USRP B205mini-i is a versatile and compact platform that is suitable for both hobbyist and OEM applications. It offers a wide frequency range of 70 MHz to 6 GHz and an industrial-grade Xilinx Spartan-6 XC6SLX150 FPGA that can be programmed by the user. The Ettus USRP B200mini, which is similar to the B205mini-i, has a narrower operating temperature range and a smaller FPGA.
The RF front end of the USRP B205mini-i uses the Analog Devices AD9364 RFIC transceiver, which has an instantaneous bandwidth of 56 MHz. The board is powered by a high-speed USB 3.0 connection and can stream data to the host computer. The USRP B205mini-i also includes connectors for GPIO, JTAG, and synchronization with a 10 MHz clock reference or PPS time reference input signal.
USRP B200mini Series
There are three configurations in this product family with options for a larger or industrial-grade FPGA. The USRP Hardware Driver (UHD) software API supports all USRP products and enables users to efficiently develop applications then seamlessly transition designs between platforms as requirements expand.
Device Variants
- B200mini (LX75 C-Grade FPGA)
- B200mini-i (LX75 I-Grade FPGA)
- B205mini-i (LX150 I-Grade FPGA)
Experimentation with Low-cost SDR
Try out the USRP B200mini Series across a wide range of applications including: FM and TV broadcast, cellular, GPS, WiFi, ISM, and more. Users can immediately begin prototyping in GNU Radio and participate in the open-source SDR community. Full support by the USRP Hardware Driverâ„¢ (UHD) software allows seamless code reuse from existing designs, compatibility with open-source applications like HDSDR and OpenBTS, and an upgrade path to industry-ready USRP systems to meet application requirements.
